Welcome to The Spotlight Games (“Spotlight,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of www.thespotlightgames.com (the “Website”), as well as your interaction with The Spotlight Games and its related content, applications, communications, and online communities.
By accessing or using this Website, submitting an application, registering for or participating in a Spotlight game or event, or otherwise interacting with Spotlight, you agree to these Terms.
If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Website or participate in services offered through it.
1. About The Spotlight Games
The Spotlight Games is a social strategy and entertainment experience involving participants competing and interacting through games, challenges, voting, strategic decision-making, social dynamics, and other activities determined by Spotlight.
Spotlight content may be recorded, livestreamed, edited, published, promoted, or distributed through the Website and third-party platforms, including platforms such as YouTube, Twitch, Discord, and social media.
Specific seasons, games, casting processes, events, or competitions may be governed by additional rules, agreements, waivers, releases, or eligibility requirements. If those terms conflict with these general Website Terms, the more specific terms applicable to that activity will control.
2. Eligibility
The Website is intended for individuals who are at least 18 years old.
You must be at least 18 years of age to apply for or participate as a player or alternate in The Spotlight Games unless Spotlight expressly states otherwise for a particular event or activity.
By submitting an application or registering to participate, you represent that all information you provide is truthful, complete, and accurate.
Spotlight reserves the right to verify eligibility and reject, remove, or disqualify an applicant or participant who provides false or misleading information or otherwise fails to satisfy applicable eligibility requirements.
3. Casting and Applications
Submitting an application does not guarantee selection or participation in The Spotlight Games.
Casting decisions are made at Spotlight’s discretion based on factors determined appropriate for each game or season. Spotlight is not required to provide applicants with a reason for selection or non-selection.
Spotlight may contact applicants to request additional information, conduct interviews, confirm availability, or complete additional agreements before participation.
Applicants agree that materials voluntarily submitted as part of the casting process may be reviewed and used by Spotlight for casting, production, administrative, and related purposes, subject to our Privacy Policy and any additional releases or agreements provided during casting.
4. Game Rules and Participant Conduct
Individuals selected to participate in The Spotlight Games may be required to agree to additional game rules, participant agreements, media releases, confidentiality provisions, codes of conduct, or other terms before participating.
Participants are expected to follow all official game rules and instructions provided by Spotlight organizers.
Spotlight reserves the right to interpret and enforce game rules, resolve disputes relating to gameplay, address unforeseen circumstances, and modify game procedures when reasonably necessary to preserve the operation, integrity, safety, or fairness of the game.
Spotlight may remove or disqualify a participant for reasons including, but not limited to:
Cheating or intentionally circumventing game rules;
Harassment, threats, discrimination, or abusive behavior;
Tampering with voting, game systems, accounts, or results;
Unauthorized disclosure of confidential game information;
Intentionally interfering with production or gameplay;
Impersonating another person;
Providing false information;
Violating applicable laws;
Creating a safety risk for participants, organizers, or members of the community; or
Materially violating a participant agreement or official game rule.
Strategic gameplay, alliances, deception, voting decisions, betrayals, disagreements, and other social dynamics may be legitimate components of the game when permitted under the applicable game rules.
5. Participation Fees and Payments
Certain Spotlight activities may require a participation, registration, alternate, event, or other fee.
Any applicable fee and payment terms will be disclosed before payment is required.
Unless otherwise stated in writing, fees are non-refundable once a participant has accepted a position or Spotlight has incurred costs associated with that participant's involvement.
Spotlight reserves the right to establish separate refund, cancellation, or transfer policies for individual games or events.
6. Prizes
Certain Spotlight games or events may offer prizes.
The existence, value, eligibility requirements, selection criteria, and distribution of any prize will be governed by the official rules applicable to that particular game, season, promotion, or event.
Participants are responsible for any taxes or other obligations associated with prizes they receive unless applicable law requires otherwise.
Spotlight does not guarantee that every game, season, or event will include a prize.
7. Entertainment Nature of Spotlight
The Spotlight Games is intended as an entertainment and social strategy experience.
Participation does not guarantee any particular result, placement, prize, exposure, audience growth, professional opportunity, or other benefit.
Game outcomes may depend on participant decisions, social interactions, challenges, votes, strategies, and other elements established in the applicable game rules.
8. Recording, Livestreaming, and Publicity
Spotlight games and related activities may be photographed, filmed, recorded, livestreamed, or otherwise documented.
Players and other individuals appearing as part of official Spotlight productions may be required to sign a separate media release or participant agreement granting Spotlight rights relating to their name, image, likeness, voice, performance, statements, and recorded participation.
The terms of any signed participant or media release will govern Spotlight's use of those materials.
Website visitors and community members should understand that comments, usernames, messages, or other content posted in public Spotlight channels or during livestreams may become publicly visible.
9. User-Submitted Content
You may have opportunities to submit photographs, videos, application materials, comments, messages, testimonials, or other content (“User Content”).
You represent that you have the necessary rights to submit any User Content you provide and that doing so does not violate another person's intellectual property, privacy, publicity, or other legal rights.
You may not submit content that:
Is unlawful, threatening, or harassing;
Contains hate speech or discriminatory material;
Infringes another person's intellectual property rights;
Violates another person's privacy;
Contains malicious software or code;
Impersonates another person;
Is knowingly fraudulent or deceptive; or
Is intended to disrupt Spotlight's Website, games, or community.
Spotlight reserves the right to remove content or restrict access when reasonably necessary to enforce these Terms or protect Spotlight and its community.
10. Intellectual Property
Unless otherwise stated, the Website and its original content—including The Spotlight Games name, branding, logos, graphics, game materials, written content, video content, designs, and other materials created by Spotlight—are owned by or licensed to The Spotlight Games and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, sell, publish, commercially exploit, or create derivative works from Spotlight content without prior written permission, except as permitted by law.
Nothing in these Terms grants you ownership of Spotlight's intellectual property.
11. Acceptable Website Use
You agree not to:

These services are operated independently from Spotlight and are governed by their own terms, privacy policies, and community guidelines.
Spotlight is not responsible for the availability, security, content, policies, or practices of third-party services.
Your use of those platforms is subject to the applicable third party's terms.
13. Community Conduct
Spotlight encourages competitive gameplay while maintaining respectful conduct outside the boundaries of legitimate game strategy.
Harassment, threats, stalking, doxxing, hate speech, discriminatory attacks, or attempts to cause real-world harm to players, organizers, viewers, or community members are not permitted through official Spotlight channels.
Spotlight may moderate or remove users from official community spaces when necessary to maintain community safety or enforce applicable rules.
14. Privacy
Your use of the Website is also subject to The Spotlight Games Privacy Policy.
Information collected through casting applications, email sign-ups, registration forms, or other Website features will be handled according to that policy.
By submitting information through the Website, you acknowledge that Spotlight may use that information for the purposes described at the time of collection and in the Privacy Policy.

Where fees or prizes are involved, any applicable refund, cancellation, or prize provisions will be governed by the specific rules provided for that activity.
19. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Arizona, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, disputes relating to these Terms or the Website will be brought in an appropriate state or federal court located in Arizona.

Spotlight may update these Terms periodically to reflect changes to the Website, games, services, policies, or applicable requirements.
